I don't know if you know this, but "payaso" is the Spanish word for clown. Just thought I'd mention that!

Thanks for the information. Lacking in imagination and energy, I simply used the "prove you're human" letter combination which was part of the LJ sign up process. I thought that "rayoso" seemed like an interesting name. Actually, I really used it as an ironic comment on the depersonalizing of human contact in the computer age.

I must admit to a certain amount of ignorance (OK, complete ignorance) as to the purpose of the introduction. I'm sure many other errors await me. I hope "gaffe" is one of the prompts. I'll kill that one.

At least you've got a good sense of humour! The typical purpose of an introduction is to introduce yourself - tell the audience a little bit about who you are or who you want to be, that sort of thing.

Read some of the other intros out there, and you'll get the idea. "Live and learn" is one of my most-used mottos! :)

We may produce questionable results, but at least we'll finally have an answer to that age-old question that has been nagging our souls: can I successfully write an online short story based on a prompt with a tiny time limit? I take heart from the fact that most great short story writers, such as Hemingway, did not even attempt this feat of writing torture.
